RH Day

As every other year, RH started its work and celebration with RH day. It was 12 hours of live broadcast this year. Shows ranged from almost all domains that interested audience belonging to all age groups.Each show carried a flavour of real-time experiences from the commoners in hand. Every show was an attainable success only by all our enormous efforts from the frontline Radio Jockeys, offscreen content creators and technical assistants.

Recruitment

Building new frontiers and breaking through horizons stipulates an ultimatum of young minds. Evolving through years, we have built our personalities to teach and learn from the upcoming brains. We orchestrated our recruitment process on September 7, 2019 at J - Block first floor of our college. Along with last-minute applications, admission entries were available at multiple collection points at our college. The recruitment procedure involved three rounds of challenging questionnaires and tasks for the entire day. College students of all streams were examined under the choices of their interest amongst the nine working teams of our club. Exercising the recruitment operation involved participation from all our club members. It paved a way in establishing greater provisions for fresh talents and stronger innovations.

RJ Hunt

Team Radio Hub aspires to invest in the manifolds of collaborative measure to engage brilliance and strength in every successful journey. We intend on raising the possible opportunities to be a part of our exciting voyage for the graduate students in our college. In respect to overcoming the missed plausibilities of the recruitment process, we organise ‘RJ Hunt’ to exercise another forum for participants to establish themselves as Radio Jockeys in our club. On the September 24, 2019, the contest for best talents in narration and discussion was cast upon the stage. The guest of dignitary for the contest was RJ Harry, former Hello FM RJ . RJ hunt was organised at College D - Block ground floor. The entire agenda for the contest participants involved an entire day of challenging activities and multivarious dimensions of subjects to talk upon. The rewarding talents demanded conceptual knowledge in their narration, fresh content, instant generation of a genre to narrate the given topics upon. Winners of the ‘RJ Hunt’ in 2019 was

The winner was awarded a memento of the finest talents. This platform invoked many creative minds and subjects of common interests amongst the commoners.

RH for Coimbatore (2019 - 2020)

Our next journey was a prodigious step taken to inculcate the feelings of togetherness and inspiring each other in subjects of communal betterment. We put forth a multifarious effort from the club members towards the next agenda of development. ‘RH for Coimbatore - Vision India 2030’ stood to spread changes, more than just by words, it was driven by mass action and execution. Growing further from the mere promotion of cause and solutions as a part of our broadcast, we set forth an exceeding drive of bringing about real-time changes in the community. The notion established was based on how A.P.J Abdul Kalam sir had dreamt about the progress that our country would have surpassed in 2020. We claimed to improvise on his solutions, pasted the target date of visualizing progress and development in respect to his vision by the year 2030. Initiated on October 15,2020 in honour of the Missile man of India, we inaugurated the World’s Largest Voice Campaign of recording one lakh distinct voices of change from public. The theme revolved around the subject of ‘Be The Change’ and voice notes were swiftly collected from the general public in Coimbatore City. We explored through the fields of dense public gatherings including schools, colleges, markets and malls, commercial streets. We worked down a few changes by contributing in matters of sanitation to our reachable potentials. Our initiative of commercial telecasts promoting our event in Republic Fun Mall and Prozone Mall in light of entertainment was another powerful measure for our event. Every significant milestone of voice record was marked with a change from a celebrity or a social reformer. We hereby stand succeeding 50,000 voices and marking 50,000 changes, we will swiftly be carrying forward the next phase of this voice campaign in the coming years.

Fun Mall

Fun mall was a complete caravan for two whole days to both the people gathered to observe the visual treat and to the members of Radio Hub who were entertaining people with a commercial pinch in its motto of spreading the idea of RH FOR COIMBATORE. For the first time, the members of Radio Hub entered into a commercial touch of events. The block of events planned and executed arrested the audience’s heart to move away from it. Flash mob among the crowd, special dance performances with mighty music made the entire fun mall move with the rhythm. Malai Nera Melodies consisting of melting melodies, hilarious hip-hops, and a mix of much other musical manias entertained the crowd so much that they too participated in singing. Notable talents like Silambam and other forms of art were performed by members of Radio Hub as well as the common crowd. RJs did their best by involving the crowd and interacting with them. Plant saplings were gifted to every people who interacted with us as a token of our contribution to a Green India. Every art form performed expressed the idea and significance behind the event RH FOR COIMBATORE.

24 Hours Live Show

RH FOR COIMBATORE reflected its service in many streams. As this is an event of Radio Hub, radio should be respected. As this is an event by the students, education should be taken care of. As this is an event implying social cause, developmental activities should be practised and a lot more streams gained its importance in this event. Hence in the occasion of Radio Day which took place on February 13,2020, Radio Hub performed a continuous 24 hours live talk show which addressed the motto of the event, a role that radio plays in the lives of people, the essence of being responsible for our country’s growth and more. Almost 50 shows were broadcasted through PSG Community Radio 107.8MHz, YouTube live stream and Instagram live. A touch in every genre was made through the different shows performed by RJs. Radio Hub as a team worked with the spirit of bringing Music, Patriotism, Fun, Divine, Radio’s significance, Friendship, Poetry, Emotions, Food, Drama, Science, the idea of Vision India 2030 – RH for Coimbatore to the eyes of people on the special occasion of World Radio Day.

Prozone Mall

RH FOR COIMBATORE made its next step at Prozone mall after the successful completion of the event at the Fun mall. An intense crowd and wider talents were expressed in a wider area. Audience’s active participation and interest in the activities conducted, strengthened the idea of RH FOR COIMBATORE in the minds of Coimbatorians. Sudden and special dance performances brought a huge sound of excitement and happiness in the mall. Malai Nera Melodies with a brilliant choice of songs by RH members along with music talent expressed by common people filled the entire area with rhythmic rays. Art forms of different types, keyboard music, solving the Rubik’s cube blindfolded, little children performing cute things, many such memory-making events were provided by Radio Hub at Prozone mall with the motto of emphasizing the idea behind the event RH FOR COIMBATORE.

12 Hours Continuous Digital Live

As a celebration for completing phase one of the world's biggest voice campaign, we broadcasted a continuous live marathon for 12 hours. The highlight of this event was that Radio Hub conducted a live marathon on a digital platform for the first time. As lockdown was implemented because of COVID-19, we couldn't conduct our event for the phase one completion. But with the help of brilliant ideas from the team members, we have formulated a way to successfully complete this marathon digitally. Another interesting thing about this digital live is that the final show we did, which included 130 RJs, connected on a single platform, taking 130 pledges with the vision of bringing a change to our country.
